The Blue Moon Is Looking Good!

One of the classiest, most unique bed-and-breakfast operations in the state is just outside Franklin. The Blue Moon Farm, a Private Cottage Bed & Breakfast, offers one three-room cottage, complete with kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, and a huge master bedroom with amazing countryside views. A spa-quality bathroom with an ultra-tub and a huge rain shower open up into the master bedroom. A wrapround deck offers great views, and there’s a private deck off the bedroom. The cottage is connected to the main house, where the owners live, and is adjacent to a huge covered dining area. Everywhere you look you’ll see rolling hills and cows, and in the morning, a very healthy rooster will likely greet you with a song.

It’s quite the romantic getaway, and being the only guests, you can be sure you’ll get all the attention of innkeepers Susan and Bob Eidam. They can be quite flexible and create just about any ambiance you want, whether it’s a candlelight gourmet dinner or a rose-petal-covered bed in the boudoir. A TV with a VCR and a large selection of films are available, as is a CD player.

And maybe the biggest surprise of all is the stocked cupboards and the stocked refrigerator and freezer. If anything is made with Blue Moon written on it (including beer), you’ll find it in the kitchen. The place can be yours for a night or longer. Stays longer than a couple of days can be negotiated.
