Amazing Burger Joints in Ft. Worth, Texas

I have been researching burger joints throughout the country and am amazed how popular they are and how unique many of them are.  Of course, you can get a cheap burger at one of the chain franchises, however, a lot of people are willing to pay a higher price for a gourmet burger.

I took a look at burger restaurants in Fort Worth, Texas and here are a few I thought looked like great places to put on your bucket list if you ever travel to Fort Worth.

Fort Worth TX RestaurantM & O Station Grill is located in the heart of the Foundry District.  The Foundry District is made up of over forty businesses.  In an effort to revitalize the West Side of Fort Worth, the Foundry is a one-of-a-kind place that has retail, creative offices, event venues, restaurants and locally-sourced shopping.

M & O Station Grill is owned and operated by a married couple, Chef Danny and Rose Badillo.  They opened their doors in November of 2008 with a goal of creating a comfortable atmosphere and a nostalgic retro atmosphere.  With over thirty-eight years in the food industry, Chef Danny brings his unique cooking skills to life every day with burgers, homemade soups and more.

Don’t be surprised if you are personally greeted by Rose as she is a big believer in Customer Service.  You can eat comfortably inside or out in their fifty’s style atmosphere.

If you are looking for a caterer. Be sure to look up this couple for your next event.  They do have rave reviews on the internet so be sure to check them out.

Dutch’s Hamburgers is a neighborhood restaurant that opened in the Spring of 2007.  Located on S. University Drive it was designed to be a burger-and-beer café.  It is situated in a historic building facing the Texas Christian University campus.Fort Worth Restaurant media

Dutch’s Hamburgers is owned and operated by Leo “Dutch” Meyer.  He is a graduate from TCU who went on to coach their football team and became the most successful coach in Horned Frog history.

A favorite hangout for TCU students, Dutch’s Hamburgers dishes out hand dipped onion rings, amazing burgers, hand-cut fries, grilled sandwiches and gourmet hot dogs.  They have a seating capacity around one hundred and fill it up every day after a long day of school.

Be sure to check out their specials that begin a four in the afternoon as Monday kids under twelve can eat a meal for only three dollars.  Tuesday you can get their famous Dutch Burger half off, Wednesday the hot dogs are half price and Thursday the Melts are half off.

Fort Worth Restaurant photoKincaid’s Hamburgers started out as a grocery store in 1946 on Camp Bowie Boulevard.  Founder, Charles Kincaid, had a unique concept for his grocery store as he was the first in the area to have specialty departments like a full-service meat market.

In 1964, the head butcher, O.R. Gentry, started cooking hamburgers on a small grill in the back of the store.  He focused on using the best cuts of meat and fresh vegetables.  The burgers were a big hit and soon the store was removing items from the shelves, so they could have a counter for people to sit at and tables.  Over time, they converted the store into a restaurant.

In 1982 Kincaid’s Hamburger won “Best Burger in America” and that started them down the road to win more awards.  They opened a second restaurant in 2005 and have grown to six restaurants.  Sticking with tradition, they make the burgers the same way O.R. did and use only the freshest produce.  I can see why they have over five hundred posts on the internet with a four plus star rating.
